KAVARA is the Hindi word for 'covered' and the personal creative project of Maggie Videan. Born in India and now living in Balmain, Sydney, she is inspired by the richness of her locality and it's unique community, history, bird life and harbour-side charm. 

Sourcing local Sydney artists and designers such as Mirra Whale, Rachel Fairfax and Phillipa Wilkinson, she has created a unique range of Australian inspired, hand drawn, hand finished giftware using pure natural fabrics, such as organic cotton, linen and pure silk. 

All products are made by a family owned business in Delhi. Maggie knows the family personally and makes regular trips to India to stay in touch.
